The Lord looks at the heart

God chose David to be king. The candidates that had better credentials from Samuel’s human point of view didn’t make the grade, nor did the Pharisees who took a swipe at Jesus’ friends who were hungry and picked corn on the Sabbath. It’s clearly best that we leave the judging to God.
