Feast of St Stephen.

Acts 6:8-10,7:54-59 though a sad story the stoning of Stephen does show us the difference between people with faith who have wisdom and people with knowledge like the Sanhedrin and synagogue officials. Never will the two meet. What we have to do is learn how to avoid stones. Stones get thrown because we remind others of what they have not got.

Mt 10:17-22 a warning to the disciples who are faced with the same officials. Even their own family can turn against them. But the Spirit of Jesus will always be with them.
