The first of the apostles

Jesus calls Peter and Andrew to join him in his mission. He chose men with few pretensions to be his apostles. These men had Jesus as their role model on the spot. As Jesus said to Thomas - “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” Would you like to meditate on the holiness of all the humble men and women, less fortunate than Thomas, who have spread the good news throughout the world and are continuing to do so?
