Self sacrifice

The servant who had finished a hard day’s labour, rather than rest, was ordered to prepare a meal for the master. It seems unfair on the servant who no doubt is hungry. But the faithful servant does what the master requests. Are there times when we are weary but are called on to do something extra for family, friend, club, church? Is it a test of our love? Lord give me the patience and strength to do that little extra when asked.
