Generosity

Jesus advises the disciples to follow the example of the steward who used his master’s money to safeguard his future. Do we often have to make a choice between serving God through generosity and charitable acts or do we ignore God’s wishes to concentrate on feathering our nests? God does not rebuke us for becoming wealthy if we use wisely the skills he has given us. He does suggest that we share our good fortune with those less fortunate. Lord give us the compassion to use our talents for the benefit of all.
