Give Him your heart

Where is my heart? Is it with the letter of the law, down to the nth degree, or is it with God? Do I fuss about ritual while overlooking purpose? Am I a Pharisee sometimes, getting wound up in rules rather than simply loving God and others? Worse perhaps, do I persuade myself that my re-scripted version of God’s commandments is alright?

Dear Lord, may I always stay close to you and be true to your commandments.
