Love the children

One of the loveliest sights at many parish masses is when the children come up for their blessing. Some run to the priest, some are carried by their parents or taken by older brothers and sisters. Some are shy, some want to chat … and we all enjoy their spontaneous, contagious happiness. Perhaps it was a scene like this, with both Jesus and the children delighting in each other, that the disciples tried to “manage”.

Dear Lord, I pray for all children and young people. How can I make opportunities for them to become closer to God?
