Give up your life to save it

Just as we make sacrifices to satisfy our special goals – maybe homeownership, a holiday, a good exam result, a family event, Jesus points out we need to make sacrifices to gain eternal life. We need to pay attention to our priorities – do they honour God? Do they make best use of the gifts he gives us? Would we want our guardian angels to tell God about them?

Loving Lord, thank you for all your blessings and opportunities. I offer all I am to you, so you may direct my life according to your will.
