The kingdom of heaven

We know that the kingdom of heaven is not a place but a state of being. Jesus says that it is within us. In Judaism it is described as the spark of God inside us, and they say it’s our duty on this earth to fan that spark into a flame. Whatever parable we choose, it will speak, as parables do, to that place in our heart that has no words, only a deep knowing of the sacred indwelling.
