Birth of St John the Baptist

Truly great events are always announced, prepared for and anticipated in advance. So it is with St John the Baptist. His birth was miraculous and joyful, and the message he brought was that the Saviour is coming. He announces in our own time – Prepare the way of the Lord. In every moment Christ comes to us, and is with us. We rejoice that God dwells with his people always. Let’s welcome him again today into our lives.
