Wisdom

One of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit is Wisdom, initially associated with the Sacrament of Confirmation. Wisdom features in the Old Testament Book of the same name and the term ‘Sapiential Literature’ is used to group five O.T. books = reading to help you become a wise person and/or grow in wisdom. Assisting us in deepening the meaning of life, successful living and a cultural accomplishment. (Jerusalem Bible, Introduction to the Wisdom Books). Read today’s First Reading, make its words your own, particularly: ‘glory be to Him who has given me wisdom!’
