Witness to His resurrection

This apostle was selected from the disciples of Christ to act as a witness to Jesus’ resurrection, replacing Judas who betrayed his Master. From being a disciple – a pupil learning the Good News of salvation - Matthias was commissioned to go out. He completed the group of the “Twelve” that the Lord chose to share in His mission. By our daily witness in word and deed each of us can carry out an apostolate which is personal and unique to us, but not in our name but in Jesus’ name.
