Sharing the gift

The first Christians struggled with their relationship with non-Jewish people. St Peter gives the lead in this matter and shows how their understanding grew and changed under the influence of the Holy Spirit. It was not easy for them to make this change in thinking. Our faith and religious practice is a living reality, guided by the Holy Spirit and in continuity with our traditions. This is wonderfully dynamic. We pray in gratitude for being called to this community of faith, and continue to ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the Church.
