Ezekiel 37:21-28, Jeremiah 31:10-13,
John 11:45-56
Every Catholic is called to pray and work to perfect the unity Christ wills.
Today we hear Jesus died “…to gather in unity the scattered children of God”. The Catechism states, “Christ always gives His Church the gift of unity, but the Church must always pray and work to perfect the unity Christ wills for her.” (CCC.820). As Catholics we’re called to desire unity and work towards it through conversion, prayer, friendship with other Christians, formation on ecumenism, dialogue amongst Christians and theologians and collaboration in service to humanity. Lent offers opportunities for shared witness with other Christians. (CCC.821). What is my response to Jesus dying to gather the scattered children of God?
