A well-formed conscience acts in truth

The guards were expected to arrest Jesus for infringing one of the 613 Jewish commandments. But with no evidence they report “There has never been anybody who spoke like him.” Then Nicodemus calls for justice and respect of the Law. St John Paul II said, “When freedom … does not wish to know anything about the rule of law engraved in the hearts of men and women, when it does not listen to the voice of conscience, it turns against humanity and society.” Nicodemus was seeking truth. We pray for the courage to form our conscience well and act in Truth.
