Let us set ourselves to know the Lord

In Hosea we hear ‘Let us set ourselves to know the Lord.’ That’s a great Lenten focus; actively seeking to know God better. Just what is revealed about God in Scripture and the teaching of the Church? Is my image of God wounded or distorted? What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? We only willingly follow someone we trust, respect and love. God constantly calls us to let ourselves be loved and empowered by the Holy Spirit. To see God truthfully is to face ourselves truthfully and plead for the healing that only perfect love can bring.
