What might help you thrust deeper roots this Lent?

As a child I loved lying beside a stream, gazing up through leaves and dreaming. It was cool and calm with the soft smell and gentle sounds of fresh water. Though I didn’t know it, I think that began my taste for prayer. Stillness and beauty anchor me. The person who trusts in God is like a tree by water thrusting deep roots so it always bears fruit. We reap what we sow. Today’s Scripture reminds us to thirst for relationship with God allowing our works to flow from that. What might help you thrust deeper roots into Gods love?
