Morning Thought

It is the early dawn

       vapour

             light

                 mystery

but I am in my room

     carpet on the floor

           selected prints upon the wall

                 and on the table

                        jars and jewellery

but these soft drapes

       these material things

            cannot withhold

                   the dawning

                       of His new day in me.

I am as vapour

       He the light

             And that the mystery.
