The new Moses

Jesus teaches with authority. His word is backed up by the power of his action. He is the new Moses who speaks the Word of God with power that astonishes – even unclean spirits obey him. Even the unclean spirits acknowledge that he is, indeed, the Holy One of God! We, therefore, are called to give him our undivided attention. When we pattern our lives on Christ we are doing the will of God. When we pattern our lives on Christ we are living by the prophetic power of God’s voice.
