Ministers, Not Messiahs

Each of us shares in the work of building the Kingdom of God. Everything good we do, whether big or small becomes a part of that holy edifice. However, we must never forget that it is God’s Kingdom, God’s work, not ours. As Bishop Oscar Romero said “We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker. We are workers, not master builders; we are ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own”.
