The Suffering Servant

Why does God allow suffering? I don’t know. But I do know the answer to “Where is God when we are suffering?” because it is in today’s reading from Hebrews. God is with us in our suffering. “For the suffering (Jesus) himself passed through … enables him to help others when they are being put to the test”. Jesus didn’t come as an angel; he came as a real human being “completely like his brothers …”. So whatever pain or trials you are encountering, remember that Jesus is with you. He’s been there!
