Being Excited

“His fame spread …” People were excited by Jesus! They came from all over the country to hear him teach and to be healed. We too come to Jesus in our prayer, in Scripture, and in the Eucharist. Are we excited too? Has the time we spend in his presence, has our relationship with him, become rather ho-hum? Ask the Holy Spirit to enkindle – or re-kindle – in you the excitement and joy that should accompany our encounter with Jesus each day.
