The wonders God does
We are unlikely to witness the kind of miracle cure recorded in today’s Gospel. Yet we need to have our eyes open to the wonders God does in our daily lives – the miracle of ongoing life itself, for example, should prompt a prayer of gratitude in us: ‘great are the works of the Lord, to be pondered by all who love them’. God will make us ‘pure and blameless … for the Day of Christ’, and because ‘the Lord is compassion and love,’ by God’s grace we will attain ‘perfect goodness’. We have so much for which to be grateful, and so much to which we can look forward!
