God’s promise to us

The fullness of God’s reign, the heavenly banquet, is put before us in today’s readings. We are made to live with God all the days of our lives, now and forever. No more tears, no more weeping, no more shame at our sinfulness, absolute joy and peace forever – that is God’s promise to us. It will come about ‘with the help of the one who gives us strength’.
