Queenship of Mary

Ezekiel 37: 1-14; Ps 106; Matthew 22: 34-40

Inextricably linked

No ambiguity here. First and foremost we must love God with our entire being. The Pharisee didn’t ask Jesus what the second commandment was but he told him anyway: You must love your neighbour as yourself. To Jesus the two commandments were inextricably linked, just as mankind is through all being God’s children. We don’t know how his audience reacted to this new concept. We however, are more than familiar with Jesus’ teaching – how do we respond to it? Let us ask Mary Queen of Heaven to pray for us, for any difficulties we may have in obeying this commandment.
