Thursday 8 May

Acts 8:26-40, Ps 66, John 6:44-51

Reach out.

It appears that the first foreigner to be baptized in Scripture was an Ethiopian eunuch who was normally excluded from religious practices. Phillip heard the Spirit and then travelled on a strange road to meet a “strange” person. Phillip’s yes to opening scripture with someone from a different culture, sexuality, identity and perspective lead to the baptism - of this “stranger”.

How about this month we intentionally move out of our own comfort zones to share ourselves with someone we regard as “strange” or are even scared of?
