I give up my life because I love God

As a Christian in the modern world I am asked to be what the Chosen People were called to be originally, a suffering servant. Then the world can see God’s saving love. [Is 49:3-5]. Paul has the same message for the Corinthians [1 Cor 1:1-3], that they must be holy people or saints, so even more people get to know God. I am asked by my life to imitate Jesus who John the Baptist called ‘the Lamb of God.’ [Jn 1:29-34]. Do I love God and others enough to offer my life for the cause?
