God leads me to complete happiness

When God tells the aging Samuel that Saul is the next choice as king, I’m reminded that God’s choice is not always who or what I would like [1 Sam 9:1-4;17-19;101]. I must accept endings in my life and especially when my life is to end.
It is for my greater good and part of God’s perfect plan [Psalm 20]. So I must accept that forgiveness and peace will come. If I accept it there will be unimaginable happiness and fulfillment in this life and the next. That was always God’s plan; not to call the virtuous but the needy [Mk 2:13-17].
