Baptism of the Lord

My thinking is made right

The Suffering Servant Song is about someone offering their life for Israel but it is also about Jesus saving us all and it is also about me in my life now [Is 42:1-4; 6-7]. I am God’s chosen suffering servant. Once I see it I burst into song about my calling [Psalm 28]. If I see myself as one of the crowd being preached at by Peter [Acts 10:34-38] and as one standing on the Jordan River bank watching the Holy Spirit descend on Jesus [Mt 3:13-17], I am filled with joy and gratitude for God visiting earth from on high and choosing me.
