Monday 21 October
Romans 4:20-25, Benedictus, Luke 12:13-21.
“Jesus said, ‘watch and be on your guard against avarice of any kind, for your life is not made secure by what you own, even when you have more than you need’.”
Recently I’ve been sorting through some things that have been packed away. I found some treasures and some old memories. I also found some things that used to be important and now I can let them go. My real treasure is in relationships with people and with God. What is your true treasure? Where do you find security?
Is this debateable ? Is Life made secure by what is owned?
A child is born and has life by the grace of God. From then on it appears to seek security by crying for help. Love provides this help.
Eventually each child grows to independence and still has needs.
[I,m out of time for this contemplation but FAITH, HOPE and LOVE are on my mind]
