Heaven requires holiness

God wants us to be holy. Holiness isn’t floating on clouds. It’s something far more ordinary. Holy people commit to try to love others as God loves us. Holy people take ordinary tasks and do them with great love and generosity. They know how much they need God and call on the Holy Spirit daily. All the baptised are called to holiness, literally to be saints. It’s a simple duty God asks of each of us and we grow in holiness through ‘staying awake’ to the daily tasks of love in ordinary life. It’s challenging, but heaven requires holiness.
