Exodus 2: 1-15, Ps. 69, Matthew 11: 20-24

Repent

Recognising my sinfulness and repenting is essential if I want to get close to Jesus Christ. Without this action the deepest parts of my heart can remain shut off to the action of God’s love in my life. All that is probably best and most creative about me can lie paralysed by the pride that will not say sorry. The Church, like a good mother, gives me the sacrament of reconciliation to help me free up this potential for love. Am I up for it?
