Hold Fast to God’s Word

It must have frightened and confused the disciples when Jesus told them he would be leaving them, but they would see him again. Nobody likes being told a loved one is about to die – and of course the disciples didn’t understand the triumph of eternal life over death Calvary would represent.

Today Lord I will offer my prayers for those who are facing death, and for their loved ones. May they be comforted and encouraged by your promise of eternal life in the City of God, where tears will be turned to joy.
