God is good

Throughout Psalm 106 the focus swings from God’s actions to the people’s reactions. God provided and blessed but the people forgot. God saved and delivered, but the people forgot. No wonder the psalm ends with a cry for God to “Save us … and gather us” and with a blessing, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel”. Today as you read this psalm think about how God has blessed you and confess those times when you have forgotten to thank him for his goodness. God is good – all the time. All the time – God is good.
