Oneupmanship

This story, although following a classic rabbinical sequence, shows how the narrow views of the Sadducees led them to a crude notion of bodily resurrection. Sensing victory over Jesus, they are gobsmacked to hear him denounce their misreading of Scripture. They are not alone. We too can misinterpret and misrepresent Scripture. There is a solution. We can ask the Holy Spirit’s guidance to equip us to answer all the tricky questions people ask us.
