Philippians 2:12-18,Ps. 27, Luke 14:25-33

Saying, “Yes!”

The demands of discipleship are total -Jesus must come before family, friends, possessions and even our own lives. The amazing paradox is, that having detached ourselves from these “potential gods”, God more than compensates for their loss. Mary was prepared to give up her reputation, to open herself to ridicule, to change her whole life by saying yes. Let us pray that like Mary, we can say yes, knowing that the Lord is with us and trusting him to sort out the consequences of our step of faith.
