God moments

Sometimes God seems to be especially close – the birth of a longed for child, the death of a loved friend, a difficult problem unexpectedly resolved. It is as if we have received an invitation to have a closer relationship with God. Often, just as in the story of the invited guests who made excuses, we allow that God moment to slip away – tiredness, lack of time, family commitments, study, career – all seem completely understandable reasons. Ask the Holy Spirit to help us remember those moments of invitation and use them to come closer to God.
