Birth of St John the Baptist

Nothing is impossible to God

John the Baptist’s birth was a miraculous event: the Archangel Gabriel, who later visited the young Virgin, appeared to Zechariah and told him his wife who was past childbearing age was pregnant, and the child’s name must be John.

May we have Zechariah and Elizabeth’s faith and John’s fire for God as we prepare for Christ’s second coming and our rebirth into eternal life.
