The spirit is my guide
Paul journeyed to Antioch, Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome. He travelled far, often in perilous conditions. Paul responded to God’s call; to the call of Christian communities; to the call of the pagans; and to the call of his heart. He never met Jesus in person but relied totally on the infilling of the spirit, on grace, to sustain him physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The word ‘journey’ is derived from the latin diurnis and originally meant a day’s travel. As I travel through each day, I, like Paul, must rely on the spirit to be my guide, my advocate, my sustenance.
