Greater love has no one

The Father lavishes love on us by calling us his very own children. Truly, this is how God sees me! And as if to prove that we are God’s beloved, Jesus shares with us that “No one takes my life from me – I lay it down of my own free will.” Unlike a hireling who runs away when danger comes, Jesus chose to stay and lay down his life for his sheep – you and me. I picture Jesus sitting beside me, speaking these words directly to me, looking affectionately into my eyes!
