The lost sheep of Israel

Jesus sent his twelve apostles to the Jewish people who had lost faith in God. Not to the schismatic Samaritans, or the Palestinian tribes, far less to the occupying Romans, although all these groups contained men and women of faith. But to his own people he sent his friends with a message of peace. Those of our own family have first claim on our love and loyalty. Is there someone in my family I need to reach out to?
